Alix Rice Longboard Painting

Alix Rice was another angel that was taken from us too soon. In her memory, Michael Biondo and John Pucell of Contact Longboards donated a longboard with her portrait painted on the backside of it for an auction at The Rockin' For Rice Benefit, which was held at Buffalo, NY's Town Ballroom.

Technical Design

This is a very special piece of artwork, which is a portrait painting on a longboard to commemorate the very beautiful Alix Rice. Her memory is carried though the young generation of skaters within the community. Since most of her enjoyment was through skating and longboarding, I was presented the concept to paint a portrait of Alix Rice on a longboard. The portait captures Alix in a happy smile, with her name elegantly scripted in an original design.

The Buffalo News took a photograph of Alix Rice's parents smiling and holding the painted longboard, which was published it as their cover photo on their Facebook Page in October of 2012.
